ORDER FULFILLMENT: HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1: CONTACT US

Once you've decided that Verde is the right choice as your go-to fulfillment partner, you can call us (855-208-2511) or email (hello*at*verdefulfillment.com) and let us know.  Our Client Experience Manager will walk you through a series of questions to ensure your business model, inventory and order processing expectations are set from the start. Next, you will officially sign up with us by submitting our credit application and service agreement, then we are off and flying!

STEP 2: SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM

This is part of our detailed on-boarding process to ensure all systems are set up perfectly for you from the start.  We set your SKU's up in our cloud-based system, integrate your shopping cart or other system, and finalize all other processes while you are getting ready for the next step.  Processes such as minimum inventory level notifications, FIFO stock rotations, lot #'s, expiration dates, etc. for your SKU's are discussed and set-up well ahead of time. By putting the extra time in during this phase, your inventory will arrive and be received quickly.

STEP 3: PREPPING INVENTORY

When your inventory is organized by SKU (same style, color and size), labeled correctly (swing-tags, etc) and has scannable barcodes (UPC or SKU), then your inventory is prepared correctly.  Next is providing packing lists in a .csv format for what you want to send to Verde. This is emailed to your Client Coordinator at Verde for pre-receiving your inventory to make the process very quick and simple for everyone.

STEP 4: INBOUND FREIGHT

You can send your inventory directly to Verde, or we can help you arrange it for you.  Some clients have relationships with freight companies that we are more than happy to work with.  The end-all goal is to make moving your inventory domestically or internationally as painless as possible.  Verde can be involved as much as you would like us to be.

STEP 5: RECEIVING INVENTORY

After your inventory arrives at Verde, our receiving team proceeds with a 6-point receiving process to ensure everything that was supposed to arrive at Verde, did indeed arrive...correctly.  The more organized the inventory is ahead of time, pays dividends during this phase of receiving. All inventory is verified against your packing list with any discrepancies discussed with you and your Client Coordinator to resolve the issue.  Your inventory is then put into it's new pick locations where it is prepped for the next phase of the process. It's at this point that you can see your inventory being updated real-time in our cloud-based system. Sometime celebratory fireworks go off at this point with our clients!

STEP 6: PICK/PACK

Now the fun starts, as well as seeing where all of the hard work getting things set up correctly ahead of time pays off.  The pick and pack process at Verde ensures that all orders leave our facility within 24-hours, with over 85% of all orders leaving same day.  Our picking team picks all orders in FIFO format with Express and Amazon Prime orders guaranteed same day. As orders come into the packing team, the barcodes on your products are scanned, verified and packed into the packaging of your choice (carton, shipping bag, re-shipper bag for easy returns, etc.).  Your customized or branded packing list is included, along with any specialty items such as stickers, postcards, tissue-paper, etc. If you dream it, we make it happen during this phase. The status of the orders are updated real-time in our system during this part, giving you important information on the status of an order.

STEP 7: SHIPPING

The method of shipping for each order is determined by your customer or retail partner.  We always advise our client to choose “Best Way” as the method to ensure each order is being sent in the most cost-effective manner possible.  You can also choose any method you like if you want to control that part, too. Since Verde maintains a Top-Tier discount with the freight companies, you get to take advantage of our discounted rates to save money.

STEP 8: DAILY SHIPMENT AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Even though our cloud-based system is updated real-time throughout the day, we advise reviewing shipments daily to ensure they are processing according to your expectations.  As orders come in from your shopping cart, your inventory is being updated real-time, and in a low-inventory situation, you may be getting notifications about these issues as they happen.  We provide a large selection of reporting tools for you to use 24/7 to help you make the best business decisions possible.

STEP 9: PRODUCT RETURNS

Verde has a proprietary product returns system to ensure your customers have the very best experience with their product returns.  Product returns are processed within 24-hours upon arrival at our facility, with a clear workflow dashboard for you to know what is happening with each product return as it comes in.  Our goal is to turn your inventory around quickly, take care of your customers and maintain a good return on investment in your product returns process.
